CHEESE CORN NUGGETS

Who wouldn’t love some cheese and corn?! This easy recipe helps you make the yummiest nuggets ever at home. It’s so gooey and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Once you have tried these you would never want to go back to the frozen section. You know what goes in the making and there is no added chemicals or preservatives. They are made and served fresh with no compromise in taste. Without further ado, lets go and make these delicious mouthwatering cheesy corn nuggets.

Ingredients

For the filling

  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potato
  • 200 g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Amul processed cheese cube
  • 1/3 cup boiled sweet corn kernels
  • 2 Tbsp powdered oats
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

For the batter

  • 1/3 cup powdered oats
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

For the coating

  • 1 cup powdered oats
  • 2 cups powdered corn flakes

Oil for deep frying

Directions

1. In a bowl, add the potato, mozzarella cheese, cube cheese, sweet corn kernels, pepper, salt, coriander leaves and powdered oats.

2. Mix all the ingredients till well combined to make the filling.

3. Make the desired shape with the filling.

4. Place it in the freezer for sometime till we prepare the batter. This will help to hold its shape while coating.

5. For the batter, take powdered oats, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

6. Add required amount of water to make a slightly thick batter that will coat the filling nicely.

7. In two separate plates, take powdered oats and powdered corn flakes which we will use for coating the filling.

8. Now take out the filling from the freezer.

  • Coat the filling with powdered oats.
  • Dip it in the prepared batter.
  • Roll it in the powdered corn flakes.

9. Place the prepared filling in the freezer until frying.

10. Take oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry in batches of 2 or 3 till golden brown.

11. Drain the excess oil on a paper towel.

12. Mouthwatering nuggets are ready to be served hot with mayonnaise or ketchup.
